It is six feet long and weighs about 40 lbs (12 lbs being lead - for balance). It took over three weeks to complete, and flies over Interstate 95 atop the Whole Foods Market, at the north side of exit 11, and... can be viewed by 250,000 people per day. It is fairly unique as far as custom weathervanes goes. It has a skeleton and ribs. I used taxidermist antelope eyes which are over 2" in diameter. The stand is six feet tall, made of 3" and 4" copper pipe, and the letters are bronze plate, painted gold. |
